Steveston Garden Retreat

Rooted in the family’s vision of a modern, resort-like retreat, we designed this landscape to be a true extension of home – open and expansive, yet warm enough to gather and connect all year round. Rather than anchoring the outdoor living areas close to the home, we placed the pool deck and pergola deep within the property. This intentional move by the landscape designer transforms the landscape into a journey – drawing one out, and unfolding the experience with every step.

Mature trees of Catalpa and Honey Locust wrap the space in privacy and calm, while sweeping gardens of meadow grasses and perennials bring softness and movement. Open lawns invite play and spontaneity. As always, rich layers are planted with crisp, modern hardscapes – crafted spaces meant to be experienced with all the senses.
